Terms of Service
Operated by Scoped LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company
Effective Date: July 7, 2026 | Last Updated: July 14, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and Scoped LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company doing business as "Scoped.Pro" ("Scoped.Pro," "we," "us," "our"), governing your access to and use of the Scoped.Pro website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform" or "Service").
By creating an account, submitting a project, accepting a lead, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you are using the Service on behalf of a business or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and "you" refers to that entity.
2. Description of the Service
Scoped.Pro is a technology platform that helps homeowners describe home-improvement and repair projects (including through guided video and chat submissions) and connects them with independent, third-party contractors ("Pros") for the purpose of obtaining quotes. Scoped.Pro uses artificial intelligence tools to help generate a proposed project scope, estimated cost ranges, and related suggestions based on the information, video, photos, and other content submitted.
Scoped.Pro is not a contractor, is not a party to any agreement between a Homeowner and a Pro, and does not perform, supervise, warrant, or guarantee any home-improvement work. Scoped.Pro's role is limited to providing tools for describing projects, generating informational scope estimates, and facilitating introductions between Homeowners and Pros.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, including your name, contact information, and (for Pros) business, licensing, and insurance information, and to keep it up to date.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false or misleading information, or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to other Users or to the Platform.
4. AI-Generated Content Is Not a Substitute for Professional Inspection
The Platform uses AI models to analyze videos, photos, and descriptions you submit and to generate a proposed scope of work, cost estimates, milestone breakdowns, and "flagged concerns." This AI-generated output is an informational starting point only. It is not a professional inspection, engineering assessment, code-compliance determination, or guarantee of actual project scope or cost.
- AI-generated scopes and cost ranges may be inaccurate, incomplete, or fail to identify conditions not visible in submitted media (e.g., conditions behind walls, underground, or requiring physical inspection or permitting review).
- Homeowners and Pros are each responsible for independently reviewing, verifying, and — where appropriate — adjusting the scope and pricing before entering into any agreement with each other.
- Pros submitting quotes are responsible for independently verifying project scope, including through their own site visit, before finalizing pricing, and Scoped.Pro is not liable for discrepancies between the AI-generated scope and actual conditions.
- Any cost range or milestone figure shown on the Platform is a working estimate tied to the scope as understood at that time and is not a fixed quote or appraisal unless and until reflected in a signed quote between Homeowner and Pro.
- Address visibility: a Homeowner's full street address is not shared with Pros by default. It becomes visible to a specific Pro only if (a) the Homeowner approves a site-visit request submitted by that Pro, or (b) the Homeowner accepts that Pro's quote. Homeowners can review which Pros currently have address access from the project detail page.
5. Pros: Verification, Licensing, and Insurance
Scoped.Pro may display information about a Pro's licenses, insurance, ratings, reviews, and portfolio, including a status indicating whether an item has been "verified."
A "verified" indicator means only that the specific document or information was reviewed against the process described at the time in our Help Center; it is not a guarantee that a license or insurance policy is currently active, adequate for a given project, or that a Pro is competent, insured, or licensed for every scope of work they bid on. Homeowners are strongly encouraged to independently confirm a Pro's license status, insurance coverage, and standing with the relevant Pennsylvania authority (or the authority for the Pro's jurisdiction) before entering into a contract, particularly for projects above [state Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act or equivalent thresholds].
Pros represent and warrant that all licensing, insurance, and business information they submit is true, current, and that they will promptly update it if it changes or lapses. Scoped.Pro may suspend a Pro's ability to accept leads if required credentials appear expired or invalid.
Pros are independently responsible for complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including any applicable home improvement contractor registration requirements, building codes, permitting requirements, and licensing laws.
6. Independent Contractor Relationship; No Agency or Employment
Pros are independent businesses, not employees, agents, partners, or joint venturers of Scoped.Pro. Nothing in these Terms or in the operation of the Platform creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship between Scoped.Pro and any Pro, or between Scoped.Pro and any Homeowner. Scoped.Pro does not direct or control the manner, means, or methods by which a Pro performs work, does not set a Pro's prices except where the Platform is used as a tool to prepare a quote, and is not responsible for a Pro's acts, omissions, workmanship, timeliness, or compliance with law.
Any contract for home-improvement work formed after a Homeowner accepts a Pro's quote is solely between the Homeowner and the Pro. Scoped.Pro is not a party to, and assumes no liability arising out of, that contract or the performance of that work.
7. Quotes and Payments
- Quotes submitted by Pros through the Platform are offers by the Pro, not by Scoped.Pro, and become binding only as agreed between Homeowner and Pro.
Scoped.Pro does not process, hold, transmit, or have custody of any payment for home-improvement work at any time. All payment for work performed is arranged and made directly between the Homeowner and the Pro, entirely outside the Platform, on whatever terms (deposits, milestones, final payment, payment method) the Homeowner and Pro agree to between themselves. Scoped LLC is not a party to that payment arrangement, does not act as a money transmitter or escrow agent, and bears no responsibility for a Homeowner's payment to a Pro or a Pro's refund or return of any payment.
- Any milestone, cost range, or payment figure shown on the Platform is for informational and organizational purposes only, to help the parties track progress against the estimated scope — it is not an invoice, a payment instruction, and does not obligate either party to pay or accept any particular amount.
- Homeowners and Pros are encouraged to document their own payment terms in a written contract directly between themselves, separate from the Platform, and to exercise the same caution they would with any contractor engaged outside Scoped.Pro.
- Scoped.Pro may charge Pros lead fees, subscription fees, or other platform fees for use of the Service, as described at [pricing page URL]. These platform fees are separate from, and unrelated to, any payment for home-improvement work between Homeowner and Pro, and are non-refundable except as required by law or as separately stated.
8. Communications; SMS and Email Outreach
By providing a phone number or email address, you consent to receive service-related communications from Scoped.Pro, including account, project, and lead-related messages, by SMS, email, or push notification. Message and data rates may apply.
Where Scoped.Pro contacts a business or individual who is not yet a registered User (for example, to invite a contractor found through public listings to claim a profile or view a lead), such outreach is limited to what we reasonably believe is permitted business-to-business contact under applicable law, and recipients may opt out at any time using the instructions provided in the message or by contacting rkennbiz@gmail.com. [Confirm TCPA/CAN-SPAM consent basis and opt-out mechanics with counsel before scaling this outreach.]
SMS / Text Messaging Program

- Message frequency: varies based on your project activity and inquiry status.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.
- Opt-out: reply STOP to any message at any time to cancel. You'll receive a one-time confirmation that you've been unsubscribed, and will not receive further SMS messages from us unless you opt back in.

- Carrier disclaimer: carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
9. Homeowner Responsibilities
- Provide accurate project information, photos, and video, and disclose known hazards or access restrictions.
- Independently evaluate each Pro and quote before agreeing to any work, including verifying licensing/insurance as described in Section 5.
- Enter into a written contract directly with the selected Pro before work begins, and retain your own copy.
- Obtain any permits, HOA approvals, or third-party consents required for the project, unless expressly agreed otherwise with the Pro.
10. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Circumvent the Platform to avoid fees by moving a Platform-originated relationship off-platform in a manner that violates any separate agreement you've accepted (e.g., a Pro subscription agreement);
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, reviews, licensing, or insurance documentation;
- Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that depicts individuals without their consent where consent is legally required;
- Use the Platform to harass, discriminate against, or unlawfully target any User;
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Platform's operation or security;
- Use the Service in violation of applicable contractor licensing, home-improvement, consumer-protection, or data-privacy laws.
11. Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its software, design, and AI-generated scope templates, is owned by Scoped LLC or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the Platform for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g., project videos, photos, portfolio images) and grant Scoped.Pro a license to host, process, and display that content as necessary to operate and improve the Service, including running it through third-party AI providers as described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Third-Party Services
The Platform relies on third-party services, including AI processing, mapping/business-listing data, calendar integration, identity/authentication, cloud storage, and SMS/email delivery providers. Scoped.Pro is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or acts or omissions of these third-party services, which are governed by their own terms.
13. Disclaimers
The service, including any AI-generated scope, estimate, or Pro information, is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Scoped.Pro does not warrant the accuracy of AI-generated scopes or estimates, the qualifications, licensing, insurance, or workmanship of any Pro, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scoped LLC and its owners, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to the service, including any dispute, contract, or work performed between a Homeowner and a Pro. Scoped LLC's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the service will not exceed the greater of (A) the fees you paid to Scoped.Pro in the twelve (12) months before the claim arose, or (B) one hundred dollars ($100).
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Scoped LLC and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of: (a) your use of the Service; (b) content you submit; (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law; or (d), for Pros, the work you perform, quote, or fail to perform for a Homeowner, and any claim relating to your licensing, insurance, or workmanship.
16. Dispute Resolution; Arbitration
[Placeholder — decide with counsel whether to include mandatory arbitration and a class-action waiver, and draft to meet current enforceability standards (conspicuous notice, opt-out window if desired, carve-outs for small claims court, etc.). A common structure is outlined below for discussion.]
Except for claims that qualify for small claims court or claims for injunctive relief to protect intellectual property or confidential information, you and Scoped LLC agree to resolve disputes through binding individual arbitration administered by [AAA/JAMS], rather than in court, and both parties waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action. [Include opt-out mechanism and notice period if desired.]
17. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to Section 16, the state and federal courts located in [County], Pennsylvania will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute not subject to arbitration.
18. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for conduct we believe violates these Terms, creates risk or legal exposure for Scoped.Pro or other Users, or for any other reason at our discretion, subject to applicable law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6, 7, 13–17) will survive.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (such as an in-app notice or email) before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
20. Miscellaneous
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any Pro-specific agreement, are the entire agreement between you and Scoped.Pro regarding the Service.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- No Waiver: Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Notices: We may provide notices via email, in-app messaging, or posting on the Platform.
